In 1977 AWOC was founded by Lee Ahlstrom, Q.C. and George Wright, Q.C. Three decades later, the firm has developed into a full service law firm with clientele not only in Alberta but North of the 60th parallel as well.

The partnership now includes Donna Oliver and Steven Cooper. Ms. Oliver focuses her practice on trustee matters, personal injury and medical malpractice issues and along with Steven Cooper is closely involved in the cases initiated by the Ahlstrom Wright firm on behalf of Residential School survivors. Steven, who joined the law firm in 1997, is a former resident of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, Steven practices litigation, administrative, employment, business and First Nations law as well as assists clients in all aspects of joint venture preparations and pipeline preparedness.
