George Wright, Q.C. was awarded his Law degree from the University of Alberta in 1973, and was admitted in to the Alberta Law Society in 1975; he also maintains his membership in the Edmonton and Canadian Bar Associations and received his Q.C. designation in 2000. In 1977 he, along with Lee Ahlstrom Q.C., started the law firm that today is known as AWOC. George's practice is in the areas of Wills, Estate Planning and Probate along with a heavy emphasis on real estate transactions.

George has served on several boards in Strathcona County including the Economic Development & Tourism Advisory Committee, the Task Force on Commercial Policy and District Review Project, the Mayors Task Force on Review of Strathcona County Councillors and Mayors Renumeration, the Strathcona County Home Based Business Study, and the Task Force on Residential Development. George also served as Director for the County Clothesline Foundation from 1994 to 1995 and as President from 1995 to 1997. He wa the President of the Sherwood Park Chamber of commerce from 2000 to 2001 and has great depth of experience on Board conduct and process.
