Melissa Clow joined AWOC in 2009 as a Student-at-Law after receiving her law degree from the University of Alberta. While at law school, Melissa was actively involved in Student Legal Services representing people in the low-income community for various civil and criminal matters. During her time as the Family Law Coordinator at Student Legal Services, Melissa successfully worked to expand the project and now students may provide legal representation for certain family law matters.

Melissa continues her commitment to Student Legal Services by serving as a member of its Board of Directors. While in law school Melissa also competed in two moot court competitions. She won the 2008 Alberta Court of Appeal Constitutional Moot and successfully competed in the Gale Cup Criminal Moot in 2009. Melissa grew up in Sherwood Park and is looking forward to beginning her practice in this wonderful community that continues to be her home.Melissa was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in August 2010
